Using Diwali as a starting point, best selling author Sonya Singh will explore how cultural identity, family history, and lived experience can inspire authentic storytelling. Participants will learn how to draw from their own backgrounds to create compelling characters and meaningful stories, while taking part in interactive writing exercises designed to spark creativity and confidence.

In this interactive workshop, bestselling author Sonya Singh will explore what it means to develop an authentic writing voice, overcome self-doubt, and create work that feels true to you. Drawing on her experience in journalism, writing novels and screenplays, Sonya will guide participants through practical exercises focused on voice, character, and dialogue, helping writers build confidence and tell stories only they can tell.
